Salvador’s HOPE

Creating Hope, Inspiring Change

Salvador’s HOPE is a Christian not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 2009 by Vania and Chris Labios, it began in response to the growing need among women and children living in poverty in El Salvador. What started through on-the-ground relationships and advocacy has grown into a grassroots movement creating safe spaces for healing, discipleship, and empowerment for women and girls.

Today, El Salvador has one of the highest rates of femicide in the world. Its history of unrest, including the civil war of the 1980s, has left deep social and economic vulnerabilities that continue to impact communities.

Our work actively addresses gender based violence through advocacy, education, and trauma informed support. Initiatives such as the Arise and Shine conference gather hundreds of women in high risk environments, creating space for healing, truth, and transformation.

We believe we are called to be part of the change that is so desperately needed, bringing hope, restoration, and practical support to women and girls.
